Carnival brought a ship to our Home Port of Baltimore, so we had to take a cruise on her. It was so nice to take a short drive and get on the ship instead of having to fly. We didn't even have to drive, as two of our sons provided transportation! As you can see, the port is right off I 95 and has lots of parking.
We arrived around 11 AM, but did not get on the ship until almost 2 PM. There were two wedding parties and a large number of VIP guests. Boarding started at 1:20 PM. We were in Zone 4. Our room was ready at 2:45 and two of our suitcases were already there, the last one arrived soon after. We had lunch and a Drink of the Day on Lido, then took pictures all around the ship.
We saw Fort McHenry on the way into the Chesapeake Bay, and it was exciting to pass under the Key Bridge.
