Carnival Glory Cruise 1/19/07

Pre-Cruise & Embarkation

We flew into Orlando the day before the cruise with our friends Rick & Bonnie and rented a car for the drive to the port, about 45 minutes.
Our first stop was Kennedy Space Center, where we took the "NASA Up Close" tour. Well worth the money, we had a great time and saw so many things previously only seen on TV.
We spent the night at the Radisson near the port and met several people from our roll call at the outside tiki bar.

The next morning, we dropped the car off at Budget and took their shuttle to the port. Embarkation was easy, we were the first ones in line after the VIPs! Took about an hour to get on the ship. We had lunch & drinks on Lido deck, and explored the ship.

We met our steward, Jose, when the rooms were ready at 1:30. We had 7434 on Empress deck. It's an odd shaped room with a double balcony. Our friends had the room just in front, so we had the divider opened and enjoyed many relaxing hours on our huge balcony!
